For me, local history and family history are intertwined. You cannot fully understand the story of your family until you understand where they came from, and how their lives were shaped by their local environment.

Since 2019 I have worked as a Contributing Editor for Northamptonshire Victoria County History, providing research into the early modern and modern history of the town of Towcester, and the parish history of Cold Higham from Domesday to the present day.

I am also an Honorary Visiting Fellow (2020-23) in English Local History at the University of Leicester’s Centre for English Local History.

I have worked on a range of local history projects, including the First World War history of Wrest Park, the history of churches in Bedfordshire and Uxbridge, and the history of several London boroughs for inclusion in Greater London: The Story of the Suburbs (2012).
